Toss those knitting needles! Participants in this class will create their entire hat in no time flat using a needle felting tool, and wonderful clouds of carded wool. Learning the technique of needle felting on a form is so simple a beginner feels competent, yet experience only enriches the process!
We will felt a lovely basic hat, and the last part of the class will focus on forming a variety of flowers, leaves and miscellaneous trims to decorate each hat. This activity will allow class members to give their hat a personality to match their own whether they feel wild & wacky, or chic & classy!
Embellished Sweater/Jacket
This class is for those who long to have a really special garment that takes little time to create, but looks like a designer piece. You will learn the basics of needle felting on a flat piece of foam to produce a colorful base for ornamentation. A variety of manipulated yarns, as well as beads, buttons and findings are used to transform a ready-made garment into a work of art!
This class is easy enough for beginners, yet those with more experience will revel in the variety of design opportunities provided. Each artist brings their own vision to this project making it theirs alone.
Pizzazz Purse
This class will make you an expert in needle felting, because you will get lots of practice!
Come learn to make a basic little bag that finishes to be anything but basic. It’s a medium-sized handbag that will allow you to learn to make fabric from a cloud of wool, form it to make the body of the purse as well as the flap and produce a ball button for the closure.
You will learn to take an inexpensive handle and give it the pizzazz others will wonder about! Learn to create a sturdy top band, flap trim and buttonhole loop. The bonus here is that you will also do some simple embellishing on the flap to give you the courage to step out and try other needle felting projects with confidence! Join us for a fun-filled day, and go home with a real treasure.
This class is for beginners to adventurers with little or no experience!
Sassy Purse
Not for the feint of heart this wonderful little bag! Class participants will learn to create a thick piece of felted wool for the body of the bag using only their cloud of wool on the form, and a felting needle tool. Within a short amount of time they will understand the basics of creating fabric with this method, and be quickly on their way.
Beginners are welcome, and will be as enthusiastic as veterans. The first part of the class will include basic needle felting techniques. The second part will focus on decorating each bag to reflect the personality of the designer! We will attach the handles on each bag before the class ends, so there will be smiles all around. Everyone will leave with a finished project. This is a 6 hour class.
Needle Felted Purse with Metal Handle
For those who enjoy carrying a bag no one else can possibly have unless they sit next to you and copy! We will teach you the basics of making a rectangular piece of needled (dry) felt, construct the bag and embellish it to suit your personality. We will provide all the materials needed including some fun “bits” you don’t really need, but you’ll love! The last thing we do is attach the antiqued brass handle, also included in the price of the class.

Fiber Necklace
This wonderful necklace will be one of your favorite accessories, because every time you wear it you’ll get amazed looks when you tell them you made it yourself! Start with a kit of fibers and findings and follow instructions included to guide you through making the cord and needle felted beads. We show you how to put all the pieces and parts together as our model shows, or you may make changes as you work to make yours more unique! You need no experience, just a willingness to try this adventure. There are no mistakes in this class, just opportunities to design! This class takes about 3 hours.
