Meet Kay and Judy

Being best friends for over 25 years has been an incredible adventure for the two of us. We were each "creating" long before we knew each other, and our great friendship pushed us each to excel. Most recently, we worked very hard together for 2 1/2 years to promote the wonderful new art of needlefelting, enjoying most all of it!

We wrote 3 books to provide our friends and customers with patterns and ideas, so they could get the same thrill we did from needle felting. We met so many interesting people who were able to take our ideas and make them their own...sometimes better than ours. We learned along the way as well! Sharing ideas is what it's all about after all. You learn early on that the more you share, the more you receive.

Kay traveled last year to Kyrgyzstan and Turkministan to share her love of wet felting with under-priveledged women there. She feels strongly about helping them overcome their empoverished lives, and giving them a way to help their families with additional income. Kay is a very hard worker!

I am older and become tired much more quickly! I don't feel this same pull, so Kay & I have parted as business partners, and she continues her new work with another friend. They will have a website soon, and I will link it to this one so you may follow her efforts.

Meanwhile, I will continue to teach classes and provide materials for needle felting through this same website. Whenever you have a question or concern about your needle felting, don't hesitate to contact me through the website...or call! I am always more than happy to work with you. If I don't know the answer, I will work to find it for you.

My husband has retired, and we have a little "fishin' shack" on a lake an hour from our home, so we spend a great deal of time there from April through November. If you try to contact me and don't hear back for a few days, it's probably because I'm there. Be patient..I check my e-mail as soon as I get home!

My newest venture in needle felting involves textural landscape-type pictures that incorporate embroidery stitches. Exciting color and wonderful texture has always been the thing that draws me into a fabric/fiber project, so expect to see some very "lumpy bumpy" stuff!

One of my goals is to begin a gallery of ideas to encourage you. Please send pictures of your creations to be included. We can "play" together by sharing our ideas! Judy
