Happy New Year 2010 !! Winter has definitely come to Wisconsin. On this crisp morning, it is 6 degrees and the sun is bright and cheerful...just great if you're able to stay home and play with wool! When your life requires you to go outside, it isn't much fun.Perhaps you will find some projects here to help pass the cold days. Sit in front of a south-facing window and enjoy! ************************************
Make some special covered buttons to add to your felted bags or sweater/jackets! These are simple to do, and with a bit of imagination you can punch up the "WOW!!" factor of any garment. My kits have all the parts & pieces you'll need along with instructions for covering the buttons.
************************************ Try making a bracelet or necklace using our little prefelted woolen beads. These are great when beaded along with small glass beads. I prefer using about a #6 or #8 seed bead as they are big enough to give some sparkle, yet don't compete with the woolen beads.

Make a few bars of felted soap! (Kids love this!) Just unwrap a bar of soap...any brand will work...and carefully wrap it in 2 or 3 layers of our soft beautifully colored wool cloud. Holding it together in your hands, wet it gently by dunking it into a bowl of very warm water. Slowly and carefully begin to gently rub the surface of the wool, and continue to dip it into the water as it begins to form to the bar of soap. Before you know it, you'll have a felted "washcloth" covering your bar of soap. Let it dry and you will have a lovely little gift for a friend!
